Our case for investment:
YMCAs embrace people of all ages, incomes, abilities, religions and ethnic backgrounds; they're for everyone. Ys work to break barriers of isolation and to create the connections between people that add meaning to life. Children and families who cannot afford to pay full costs deserve the experiences the Y offers as much as those who can. Your support helps the Meeting Waters YMCA provide programs to those who otherwise couldn't afford to participate.
The Meeting Waters YMCA needs you to help children and teens grow up happy and strong. To support families in their efforts to be successful. And to make your community a safer, healthier, better place to live and work.
The Board of Directors of the Meeting Waters YMCA runs two campaigns each year to raise funds to support our charitable work. Each fall they run an Annual Support Campaign that provides support for the regional Y's programs and services for youth, teens, adults and families. In the Spring, the board engages the community in its Reach Out to Youth Campaign. One-hundred percent of the donations to this fundraising effort go to supporting the Meeting Waters YMCA's Scholarship Fund that ensures that our programs are accessible to all youth who want to participate. Won't you please help by supporting your local YMCA?

Below is our current request for your support:
Dear Supporter of Strong Kids, Strong Families, and Strong Communities:
When you invest in the important work of Meeting Waters YMCA, you join with hundreds of others—volunteers, other donors, partners, participants, family members of participants, stakeholders, staff, beneficiaries—in our mission of “building strong communities by inspiring all to develop healthy spirit, mind and body.
Meeting Waters YMCA is a key leader in the region on two of our communities’ most important issues—positive youth development and the health and well-being of all. Our state-licensed youth programs engage more young people than any other organizations’ in the area. But our impact goes far beyond numbers. Our commitment to the Developmental Assets approach to youth development ensures that our programs are designed for purpose and impact. We also apply leading thinking and best practices in our health promotion work. Our skill-building resources for individuals and families combined with our coalition leadership help make the healthy choice the easy choice where people live, work, learn and play. Through this combination of personal and systems change, people of all ages and walks of life are receiving the support and guidance they need to develop and sustain a healthier lifestyle.
In turn, we need your support to develop and sustain a healthier Meeting Waters YMCA. We have taken on the challenge of “building strong communities by inspiring all to develop healthy spirit, mind and body” because of the need for leadership with this focus. We have abundant resources in almost all aspects of providing this leadership—staff with the necessary skills and experiences, resources from YMCA of the USA and other leading national organizations, and skilled volunteers and partners. The one resource that is not in abundance is the money to support this capacity-building work.
This is where you come in. By developing assets in youth and creating healthier environments where all people live, work, learn and play, Meeting Waters YMCA is improving the quality of life in your community. Each year at this time, we present the opportunity to our neighbors to join us in this work by making a contribution to our Annual Support Campaign. 100% of the funds raised through our Annual Support Campaign support our mission-driven, quality programs, services and community outreach.
The return on your investment in Meeting Waters YMCA will be stronger kids, stronger families and stronger communities in the Brattleboro, Bellows Falls, Springfield and Fall Mountain regions.
Thank you for your thoughtful consideration. Together, we are Y!
