FM Students Shine at Youth & Government Model Legislation Print E-mail
April 7, 2008/Concord, NH-- It was a weekend of intense and insightful debate in the State Capital. Local representatives proposed legislation ensuring preventive health care for all children under the age of 18, making it mandatory for all public high schools to start no earlier than 8:30 AM, banning trans-fats in NH public school lunches, and doubling in 2015 the state registration fees for all vehicles that average below 30 miles per gallon.

YMCA Capital Campaign Gets Boost From Thompson Trust Print E-mail

Brattleboro, VT, December 5, 2007 — The Meeting Waters YMCA has received a $600,000 gift from the Thomas Thompson Trust to its You Are Y capital campaign. The campaign is a locally-led, volunteer effort to build a regional YMCA facility in Brattleboro.
