FMRHS Students Participate in YMCA Youth & Government Regional Caucus Print E-mail

(Langdon, NH/February 2, 2009)  Fall Mountain Regional High School’s YMCA Youth & Government program recently attended the Regional Caucus with peers from Keene High School and ConVal High School. A total of 46 students elected their district candidate for Governor as well as their regional representatives to the Senate and other positions within the upcoming Model Legislature—lobbyists, chaplain, Clerk of the Supreme Court, press corps, and more.

Fit & Healthy Kids Coalition Offers Community Assessments Print E-mail

Will Provide Healthy Lifestyle Assessments for Four Communities in Windham County 

The Fit & Healthy Kids Coalition and Meeting Waters YMCA, one of its partner organizations, are convening an assessment process in four communities in Windham County to measure support for physical activity and healthy eating using a new YMCA tool—the Community Healthy Living Index (CHLI). CHLI enables community members to assess environments at the neighborhood and community levels, as well as within their schools, pre-school and after-school child care programs, and work sites.
